Easy Banana Muffins Recipe with Chocolate Chips
We’re Adam and Joanne from inspiredtaste.netand welcome to our kitchen.
We’re making our banana muffins with chocolatechips.
So there is one thing to remember with thisrecipe, you want to use ripe bananas.
And by ripe bananas I we are looking for lots ofblack speckles.
Maybe not the best banana to eat, but it’sthe absolute best banana to bake with.
And why do you do that?
It adds sweetness and flavor to the muffinwhich makes it just better all around.
So much tastier, smells better, just everything.
So lets go make them.
Before we make the batter we need melted butterso get that going first.
Now onto the dry ingredients: we use all-purposeflour.
Don’t forget, the full recipe with ingredientamounts is in the recipe on Inspired Taste.
We also need brown sugar for sweetness andmoisture,
both baking soda and baking powder to help them rise and a bit of salt.
To the bananas.
Remember, for the best tasting muffins, we’relooking for speckled ripe bananas.
Just mash them into a chunky paste with afork.
In goes one egg and the melted butter fromearlier.
For a little more flavor, add some vanilla.
It’s time to make the batter, use a forkto gently stir the dry and wet ingredients
together.
Add some chocolate chips — these are minichips, but any kind of chocolate works.
Then get your muffin cups ready and dividethe batter between them.
We find a large cookie scoop makes this reallyeasy.
As the muffins bake, they rise, brown andsmell incredible.
And that’s it, simple flavorful banana muffinswith chocolate chips.
Enjoy!

We add mini chocolate chips, but they are excellent plain or with nuts added. For the best banana muffins, use very ripe bananas. In fact if you can wait a day for browned, overripe and speckled bananas, they are even better. Just before baking, we throw in mini chocolate chips. You could leave them out or swap for regular chocolate chips or fruit like blueberries or strawberries. Thanks for watching! If you enjoyed this video, we’ve got lots more.
